road trip.....

here i m getting ready for my roadtrip...... its the longest drive i have ever planned..... 2200 miles stretching for about 30hrs of drive alone..... n i m really xcited for it.... plannin to leave in an hour or so...... i m goin to sanfransisco to my friends place to give his car........
wilb driving across texas,new mexico,arizona n then to california............... if everythig goes according to planned and with God's Grace i wilb reaching the destination by sunday nite......
i wilb back with my report on the drive as soon as i come back.....

abt the states of US..

today one of my friends asked me if i can list all the states of US..... i tried n i could manage 48...n just then in the evening i happened to c friends in which chandler asks ross to list the same......i just was thinkin... me being an alien will find difficulty but will a american find it same????...speakin of the states i just was trying to make a list of states i have visited (at least one place in the state)......here is the list....

another of my first

n thus came another of my "first"...... this time it was a baseball match......it was a very boring thing.... was a bit xcited to c a new game though i knew the rules ,never played or watched one........ but i was really xcited to c the crowd as there were all old people n little kids all around me.........didnt knw tht this was an oldman's game....... i left the match midway......it was so boring....no regrets as the tickets was given to me by a friend for free....... he he he he he he
my spring break is coming up on april first week... i dunno what i will do.... want to go texas a& m to meet one of my friends but dont knw if it will work out or not....this weekend v r having st.patricks day...... n sme parade is goin on... i dunno wht the day is abt....need to google it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mardi gras time.....

this post has been long overdue...... the mardi gras was fun than the last time...this time it was a bigger group than last time..last time it was just me n my roomate.... this time it was 8 people n it was fun... the crowd was bigger .... the last time being jst after the hurricane n all...... n this time it was a saturday nite.... it was fun...the floats were nice n so was the "show" in Bourbon street.....
the time is sure flying its been almost two years since i came to US....pheeeeeeeeeewwww!!!!!!!!!
i dont have much work goin around me......little bit lazy n all................hope its different for the comin months....

the dog parade....

hey.. there was this cute parade goin on in the downtown of Baton Rouge during the last sunday it was a mimic of the mardi gras parade with dogs.. it was actually a fund raiser for animal shelter n if u want to b a part of the parade u need to pay a fee which goes for the animal shelter funds.....it was good n i njoyed it more........saw many dogs dresses up as pirates n all..... it was a kind of cute.......n the whole of louisiana is gettin ready for the mardi gras coming weekend n my first experience at mardi gras last year was good n i wish to go this time too..........n with a larger group of friends...lets c how it goes.......

i m back.....

a new year n wonderful memories r the treasures i brght back crossing the seas( courtesy an old mallu song).... i had a wonderful n awesome holidays at home.....goin around with friends, bike rides, home food ( the best part of it is tht u dont need to cook jst sit n call out food....)...........n there was also the main attraction of my india trip...wedding of one of my best friend's..... it was awesome runnin around n all..... had pretty good fun...... i had been missin lots of my friends' weddin since i was too far frm home n this one i had decided not to miss at any cost.......it was great to b back in tvm where u knw each corner n u wont get lost......happy to b sweatin n travellnin in muddy roads all those........i LOVED everything......

xmas is here....

ya there goes one more xmas in my life.....nothin much xciting happenin this xmas as i m travellin to india the next day..........had a good houston trip in the weekend... the weather was awesome.....i m gettin a little bit tensed abt the trip back home....or is it a mix of anxiety n excitement....donno abt it.....anyways hope i will have a good time in trivandrum..back among friends, good food n the place i can always say its mine..........

phewwwwwww at last the sem is over.. books n notes bundled up n pretty good grades to show up for my " studies" n here starts my holidays... i started the holidays with a trip to lamar univ in Beumount, TX to attend a friend's graduation ceremony.... pretty good univ but texas did surprise me.... i have jst seen houston n dallas b4 in texas.... beaumont is not as much citylike.....the land looked so barren n the winter made it more.......i m goin home on 26th for a month..... i sure am goin to njoy tht..... eat the best food in the world....meet up with friends, bike rides and all.........................

on saturday was largest home games of LSU in 06 season.. n of course i went for it... it was freezing cold but i njoyed every minute of it.. we the TIGERS defeated the albama crimson tides 28-14...

i m goin home

ya i got my india tickets this week n GOD willing i m goin home on december end for a month......... ."home" ???the xcitement i have is not like the usual goin home ones i had when i was workin away from home.... this is like i m goin somewhere i have never been n i dont knw what to xpect there..... oooh boy am i really xcited... u bet!!!!!!!! getting back to india especially between my friends....... i cant wait...its been a long one n a half year break..........i m pretty damn sure that it will b a hard one for me to come back after the vacation.... wen i got here for the first time i was pretty xcited abt comin to US, my first flight n all that.... but now i knw what to xpect here n what is in store for me here................aaaaaaaaaaah lets c

the tiger football stadium is beautiful in a game day ...but i found the view outside the stadium more spectacular......LSU is one place to b during a gameday................there is action all around the place bbqing, partyin n fun of all sort.......i m proud to say that i m a tiger..............

oooh my god end of another dreaded day....

do anyone knw what i hate most???its the xams.... i jst hate them..... makin me sit in a chair for long time trying to study smething...who created this stuff??.... but the xams here in US have been a different xperience for me.... it has been an xactly opposite phenomena as usual compared to tht in India.... in india v used to have big essay question for larger marks n here it is bigger quest for lesser marks n so on....n the easiest part u jst need to write whats jst asked.........just a word if only needed even if it for 20 marks n not the way in india if they ask abt a word for 20 marks u need to write everything abt it even from where the word came from..........phew..... do i miss tht......naaaaaaaaaaaa.................... the xam was pretty okai..... very good counting the factor that i never used to sit or write properly during my UG days....... he he he he.......one more class for me to go this week after this my class for the week is over.....the best day for me in the week i saturday...do-nothin-lazying-around day dont bother on tht day abt the comin week as i have one more off day in sunday comin i can do anywork in tht day for the week ( thou it never happens).............................

my first rodeo show..

being in one of the southern state of US i had an oppurtunity to visit a rodeo show last weekend.... it was one of the largest in US done by the inmates of a prison.......ya the participants were the prisoners of the prison...they werent professionals n many of them were doin it for the first time n tht made it more risky....................... i njoyed it very much as was amazed by the guts of the fellows..... there were many shows includin small kids on horse back in between n they performed different formations.........it was cool........ comin back to the real stuff...... there was an event which amazed me most.... four people sits around a table amidst the arena and a wild bull was realeased into it..... n the last person to get up wins the game....n there was two guys who lured the bull to crash into table.........man it really needs big guts...... the whole show was entertaining........................... the whole thing was new to me n the saddest part was i culdnt take any photographs as it was not allowed inside the prison....... mayb smeother time folks!!!!!!!!!!

here i step into the world of blog....

i m not a good writer n i tend to write malayalam in english more often....let me c....
me right now in baton rouge,louisiana doin my schoolin...ya u got it right i m trying to study n that too in masters after a eventful four years of my undergrad back in hometown, trivandrum.... the four years in CET was the best days of my life..... then came the tension n unglamorous world of a civil engineer.... lotza travel which was the main attraction for me to the job...travelled all parts of kerala which i cant do at any point of time in my life....went to small villages in interior kerala...stayed in forest for almost 45 days...that was life thou a bit of the way.... i really loved it.... but the worldly matters compelled me to take up studies again in pursuit of better oppurtunities which a civil engg does lack in india.....n here i m in this small corner of the mighty nation.... Louisiana has never made me miss kerala much....looks almost same with greenery,climate n almost spicy cajun food...... spiciest u will get in whole of US.............n here i stand at this point of time lookin what the life has in store for me n i hope i will come back ( due to my laziness ) n scribble smethin here........
